For 20 years Eagles Nest has been working in our community, equipping people with tools to create a healthier future.

At Eagles Nest we know that change is possible.

We work with individuals and families looking to make those changes happen in a supportive and positive environment. We help people understand themselves, care for their mental health and learn new tools for healthy relationships. We offer counselling, coaching and support programs to adults, youth and children. Our services are low-cost or subsidized to help make them accessible to everyone. We welcome everyone for who they are, without regard to religion, ethnicity, race, gender or sexuality.

Impacts 2022 - 2023

94% of clients indicated positive change as a result of services received.

Volunteers gave over 2,500 hours to Eagles Nest.  Volunteers serve in all areas of Eagles Nest including Rescued & Restored, fundraising and programs.

65 businesses, 17 churches, 6 service clubs, 5 foundations & 2 schools supported Eagles Nest.

The need for our services and programs continues to grow. Last year there was an 80% increase in weekly inquiries and a 48% increase in direct client hours.

I needed help. I was in a really bad place. (After coming to Eagles Nest) I’ve come a long way... I’m not despondent. I don’t feel like there is no hope. I’m in a better head space. There are things I can do and ways I can think to get past the hurt.

Canada’s Wonderland. The airport. Christmas shopping at Home Sense. What do all these have in common? Lines. Lots of lines.

No one likes waiting in lines but if it is short, keeps moving and the reason you are there isn’t that urgent, you can do it. But what if you are waiting for something you really need?

Maybe your marriage is falling apart. Or your teen has low self-confidence. Or you are having trouble managing the stress of work, family and caring for aging parents. Waiting in line for help for these things is hard.

Unfortunately, finding affordable, local mental health resources and support can involve long lines and a lot of waiting.

OHIP only covers very specific types of mental health services. If you don’t fit in that box and can’t pay to see a therapist or don’t have private insurance coverage, you may not get the help you need.

Often the person telling the story never thought they would get to tell it. They believed there was no hope, no other possible ending. But we know that with support and new tools, change is possible.
